We are the Purgatory Creek Chorale, a professional choral collective in San Marcos, Texas.
Our mission is to provide high-quality choral music through concerts, community singing opportunities, and educational events for the San Marcos and Greater Central Texas Area.
Meet our Ensembles
PCC's professional ensembles, Chamber Choir and Early Music Ensemble, feature a collective of accomplished artists from Central Texas. Our Masterworks Choir is our largest ensemble and is comprised of both professional and community singers, ranging in age from 16 to 86!
Our choirs have performed for thousands of audience members in the San Marcos and surrounding communities over the years and are continually working to expand our reach.
Community Impact
We believe that concerts are an act of community care.
Our concert tickets are priced on a pay-what-you-can basis, and those who can pay more are encouraged to help cover the cost of those who need to pay less.
As an organization, we are committed to engaging with our community in meaningful ways including partnering with other non-profit organizations, The Texas State School of Music and San Marcos High School throughout our season.
We believe that choral music is for everyone, regardless of background or experience. Because of this, we host lecture recitals and curate program notes for our concerts that provide historical context and text translations so that our audiences can fully enjoy our concerts.
